Acolytes Ministry
Christian Education Ministry - Christian Education Director: Bro.
Mark Reaves
Sunday School Superintendent:
To develop strong Christian Education initiatives
to guide all aspects of Christian growth for all ministries and for the entire
congregation. To unify, supervise, and promote the entire Christian Education
ministry in the local church.
Sunday School
Superintendent is
responsible for the overall planning, organizing, staffing and evaluation of
Adult and Youth Sunday School. To give interpretation and guidance in the
Christian Way of Life.
Culinary Ministry - Ministry Leader: Sis. Ruth
Reaves
The Culinary Ministry is responsible for all aspects of the fellowship
hall and dining services. They ensure that we are adequately supplied with
dining utensils and that meals are prepared when required.
Evangelism Ministry - Ministry Leader: Sis. Kim Allen
Men's Ministry - Ministry Leaders: Bro. Mark Reaves and Bro. Philip Lightfoot
Missionary Ministry - Ministry Leader: Sis. Rosemary Knox
Teach the concepts of Christian missions and provide experiences for participation in mission work and
its ministries; serve a financial support system to undergrid the world mission
outreach of the A.M.E. Zion Church, at home and overseas, to the end that, through
the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ is exalted and God is glorified.
Music Ministry - Ministry Leader - Sis. Marcia Wright, Pianist - Sis. Larissa Bergen
St. Mark worships through Song and Music with the adult choir "The Voices of St. Mark." The Voices meet weekly on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to rehearse and schedule services that will glorify God. Prayer Ministry - Ministry Leaders: Sis. Ruth Reaves/Sis. Kim Allen
To promote and teach prayer as an essential part of an intimate relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to provide intercessory prayer for those in need. It is our desire that all Christians see the transformation in their lives when they turn to God. Intercedes in prayer for those on the prayer list and for those that submit prayer request through the Prayer Request box located in the sanctuary.
Scholarship Ministry - Ministry Leader: Sis. Dennise Veasley
The Scholarship Ministry has been established to provide a stipend to the youth of St. Mark AME Zion Church who have either graduated from High School or College or are continuing their educational goals. There are two events held each calendar year for the Church membership and Community to make a contribution toward this effort.

Stewardess Ministry - Ministry Leader Stewardess: Sis. Ruth Reaves
Responsible for making provisions for the support and comfort of the Pastor
and his/her family.
Trustees are responsible for the physical structure and property of the Church to include repairs and maintenance of all church property. Usher Ministry - Ministry Leader: Sis. Dennise Veasley
The primary responsible of the Usher Ministry is to make sure that everyone is welcome. We distribute the bulletins and keep order during service. We assist the Pastor when required. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:10
